What Should Your Minimum Pc Specs Be Before You Buy A Laptop For Engineering

A lot of students suffer in the first year finding their ideal PC here is the list of minimum requirements I feel according to your branches in B.Tech

  1. Keep your budget to at least 50,000 INR, You might feel like a 30-40k might meet your requirements but its not true it will not have a graphic card and might not have the min requirement of 8GB

  2. Do not buy anything that your friend buys/recommends blindly go for specs overlooks always use sites to compare for laptops like this gadgets360.com/laptops/compare-best-laptops NOTE:-Most of these websites do not update the upcoming laptops so you should compare it by writing it down on a sheet of paper

 - LENOVO
 -ACER
 - ASUS

These are the most trusted brands in terms of customer care, especially DELL AND HP, I have had an HP-Ck2018 for the last 3 years I had problems with the drivers and the customer care executive helped me their service is amazing and will surely help you

Cs, IS, EC, EEE, EIE etc(All computer and Electronics related streams)

Here you will do a lot of coding so if you are into hardcore coding then if you are into graphical designing then read (4)

 1)8GB RAM
 2)500 GB SSD /1 TB HDD or both 
 3) Intel i5 8th gen if you are going for intel processors
 4)Ryzen 5 if you want to buy a  PC with a Ryzen processor
 5)As I said earlier if you are into hardcore coding** GRAPHICS CARD MAY NOT BE NECESSARY** the 
    inbuild Intel UHD is enough but if you are into frontend/UI-UX then please get a PC with a graphic 
    card of 4 GB
 6)Buy a mouse

Mechanical, Civil, ARCHITECTURE:-

Keep your minimum budget at 55,000+ INR

 1)8GB RAM
 2)500 GB SSD /1 TB HDD or both 
 3)Intel i5 8th gen if you are going for intel processors
 4)Ryzen 5 if you want to buy a  PC with a Ryzen processor
 5)GET A PC WITH A GRAPHIC CARD AT ANY COST, YOU WILL BE DOING A LOT OF RENDERING 
    RELATED THINGS USING CADD, BLENDER ETC HAVING NO GRAPHIC CARD MEANS ITS USELESS 
    BUYING THAT LAPTOP 

 5)Buy a mouse, you will require it

FINALLY A MAIN QUESTION INTEL OR RYZEN? I WOULD SUGGEST YOU GO WITH INTEL ALTHOUGH THE PERFORMANCE IS ALMOST THE SAME I DID MY RESEARCH AND SUGGEST YOU DO IT AS WELL
